  1. What are aperture, shutter speed and ISO? The aperture controls the area over which light can enter your camera. The shutter speed in the camera controls the duration of the exposure. IOS controls the sensitivity of your camera’s sensor to a given amount of light
  2. When would you need to change your ISO? You would need to change your IOS because of the lighting you’re in.
  3. What is aperture and shutter priority settings? It lets you choose the aperture setting you want, the priority settings lets you choose the shutter speed you want.
  4. What are AF modes how do you change them? Most camera brands have button on the lens and a button that allows you to switch between AF and MF mode.
  5. Why do your need to meter the light to get the right exposure?
  6. What is white balance and why would you need to change it? White balance is removing unrealistic color casts, you need to change it because it adjust the color balance of light.
  7. What is depth of field and what is the difference between shallow and good? Depth of field is the area of acceptable sharpness in font of and behind the subject which the lens is focused on.
  8. What are drive modes and metering modes? Drive modes are the shooting modes in your camera, and the metering modes determines which areas of the frame are used by the camera to measure subject and brightness and how cameras set exposure.
  9. What is exposure compensation? Exposure compensation is a technique for adjusting the exposure indicated by a photographic exposure meter.
